Learn about threading, bobbin winding, stitch selection and a general overview of your machine and how it works. Experiment with decorative stitches as we complete a small project on your new machine. This is a complimentary class. Registration is required.
Fundamentals of machine quilting one heart
Learn to use all the quilting features/quilting feet on your machine; including selecting the proper stitch number, thread weight/type and needle type/size. Learn about tension adjustments for optimal results. You'll complete a small project using the 1 / 4 " foot, "In the ditch" foot and the "free motion" quilting foot to practice what you're learning.
Fundamentals of machine sewing one heart
Learn to use your sewing machine for sewing applications such as putting on a button by machine, making buttonholes, inserting a zipper, hemming, overcastting, and more. Practice these new skills while creating a small project.
Embroidery Classes
Hooping 101 - embroidery machine
Learn all about hooping, stabilizing, changing threads while stitching out a design from your machine onto a tea towel. This is a complimentary class. Registration is required.
Software Classes
Making friends with 5D software
This is an important first class to get familiar with your new software. You will build a firm foundation on which follow up classes will build your skills with this exciting software. This is a complimentary class. Registration is required.
Serger Classes
Making friends with your serger
Learn basic serger terminology, serger functions and threading. Well create a simple project to practice your new skills. This is a complimentary class. Registration is required.

"Play Days" are a wonderful next step. Spend the day at QA with your teacher there to help you every step of the way. Learn about stabilizers, threads, needles, tension hints, foot choices, trouble shooting and lots more. You'll complete some simple projects on your machine. There are suggested projects for level one and after you've done these, you are welcome to sign up for future "Play Days" and work on more advanced projects OR check out the newsletter for other classes. You will see a great selection of classes by our trained, patient, knowledgeable staff who want you to have as much fun as they do.
